PlayStation4 and Xbox One owners have been waiting for the other shoe to drop regarding their respective platforms, and it’s finally here. The manufacturers of these two digital video game consoles have decided that their respective games are no longer worth buying. It’s time for them to be thrown out the window, right? Well… not exactly. There are still plenty of people who will take advantage of the sweet deals on these gaming machines and play a variety of games on them at once. Each gaming console offers its own set of benefits and drawbacks, so it’s important to know what you’re getting into before spending money on something you “ shouldn’t be using your console for.
What makes Xbox One and PS4 special?
Xbox One is most definitely a distinct piece of hardware that sets it apart from its competitors. The dashboard and central authority of Xbox Series S live has been replaced by a dashboard packed with different apps, games, and an array of features. Another unique aspect of the new Xbox One model is the inclusion of a failed console review process. Take a look at this video and you’ll see what I mean:
Games you can play on each platform
– Xbox One – The original. The original, and still the best, ever. If you aren’t a huge fan of the “Sport” mode on the 360, or prefer shooting games, you’re in luck: You can actually play all the games on the 360 with the included wireless controller. Unfortunately, Sport was removed from the console after launch, and is still missing from the Xbox Series S. – PlayStation 4 – Great looking game, but you’ll need to use the PS4’s built-in app to play it. – PC – Just as fun, but only as a single player at best. – Linux – The new hotness, but no one’s taking it seriously. – Android – The best new software, but not everyone’s buying in. – Any other platform that doesn’t have a native apps for it – Not sure why, but it’s a given on every digital platform.
The disadvantages of each platform
– Windows: Great for gaming, but not so good for office or school applications. Not good for families with young children. – MAC: Great for gaming, but gets boring really quickly after a while. – iOS: Great for gaming, but gets boring really quickly after a while. – Android: Great for gaming, but gets boring really quickly after a while. – Any other platform that doesn’t have a native apps for it – Probably not a good port of a classic game, but still, there are other platforms to choose from.
Xbox One is a great new game console, but its disadvantages far outweigh its strengths. The main reason you should pick up a Xbox Series S is for the original, free games. Unfortunately, those games don’t look all that great on a new device, and are definitely not the type of games you want to play constantly on your phone. If you want to get a full old-school fix, you can always check out the new Xbox Series S, which has everything you need to play classic games on your new computer. If you’re looking for an affordable way to play games on multiple platforms, the best choice is probably the PlayStation 4, which has had its advantages panned out in favor of the Xbox One. With so many games to choose from, it’s easy to find the right one to suit your needs.
